Spend the evening with us, as we welcome you to Florence with drinks from a spectacular overlook that helps frame the city for you! This hotel is only blocks away from where the magical proposal happened. Enjoy some wine, canapés, and music – and get ready! There might just be an ice-breaking game or two.

Attire & What to Bring
When in Italy, dress like an Italian. Or at least, do your best.
Ali will be wearing something between a cocktail and sundress and, of course, fancy heels, Zach will be wearing a plaid shirt and jeans…with his signature comb-over.
Things to bring? Just your pretty selves and your mood to party.

Dinner will be hosted at our favorite restaurant, Il Latini: a boisterous osteria complete with hanging prosciutto racks (sorry vegetarians) and flowing chianti jugs. Saddle up next to a stranger – it’s time to get to know everyone so we chose a place known for breaking the ice.

Attire​

During the day, casual clothes will be just fine. The night calls for the same as last night, although, the dance club calls and thus, you may want to bring clothes that you can ‘move in.’ Elastic waists are also recommended as this will be a big meal.

All aboard! In true Zach and Ali fashion, we’re boarding a train to enjoy the coastline ride up to our next port of call – Portofino. We’ll depart from the Florence train station – make sure to let us know if you intend to take the train with us, and we’ll have your ticket ready!

Alternatively, we’ll also plan on having a bus drive as well – let us know what you’d be interested in.
​
A drive up north, if you choose to rent a car (which is a joy to do, actually), you’ll be truly impressed by Italian feats of engineering through the Northern mountains, and it is about 2.5 hours (more if you consider the Italian sort of traffic…)​​

Santa Beach Club, smack in the heart of Santa Margherita Ligure, will provide you a glimpse of the Italian good life...half supper club, half night club, all beach, we'll keep our fingers crossed for good weather and good spirits.

Attire & What to Bring
It’s a beachside dinner, so you’ll want casual beach wear. Also, be prepared to kick off your shoes with ease. Some people might just decide to wear bathing suits to test the water for some late night swimming...

The train arrives in Santa Margherita Ligure just in time for you to check into your hotel room and to hit the beach. The sun will be shining, it will be hot, and it’s time for some relaxation. For dinner, we’re planning casual dinner on the beach to settle into the lifestyle of dolce vita. Grappa, anyone? The homes that speckle the cliffs are owned by the Italian elite, from the Ferragamos to the Ferrari family. You have arrived! Prego!

Choices by the Sea...

Excursion to Cinque Terre, Day on the Beach, Strolling through Towns…

It’s a real-deal Italian Choose Your Own adventure! Do you want to do the three hour Cinque Terre hike, traversing the cliffs and stopping into the small little kiosks along the way? Are you interested in taking a cooking class, learning how to create pasta from hand and eating enough bolognese to feed a small army? Or would you just want to hang out on the beach and seal the summer tan?
We’re Boating! A private ferry will depart and leave for Cinque Terre at 11 a.m. The boat ride itself will hug the Italian Riviera coastline and will take about 2 hours; light beverages will be served onboard. Once in the first town of Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore, you’ll be on your own to hike, lunch, and eat gelato with others. We’ll have a train schedule back for everyone to choose which train to take at their leisure.
We’re Cooking! Ali and Zach did a cooking lesson in Florence once and learned the mastery of pasta bolognese! We will have a private cooking class setup for those interested where we’ll learn how to make homemade pasta, even a dessert or two. And of course, what kind of Italian meal is complete without wine? Enjoy!
We’re Tanning! What good is being in a beach town without hitting the beach? Feel free to catch some sun and enjoy the coastline.

Attire & What to Bring​
For the boating piece, you may want to bring your athletic shoes as the craggy cliffs and soft terraces of Cinque Terre will beckon you - and you may just want to walk off that gelato. Other than that, casual cool and plenty of SPF.

As Friday night’s dinner is limited to the family and wedding party, do your best to explore the region on your own and take a breather from the wedding craziness. But don’t take too much of a break – we’ll be meeting up for after dinner drinks to celebrate the last night before the big hurrah.

Bar Mariuccia
There is, quite literally, no more picturesque bar in all of the Italian Riviera. Sitting at the very heart of the horseshoe Portofino Bay, the low-key Bar Mariuccia. Take time to sip your bellinis, or camparis, or Jack and Cokes and prepare for the big day ahead tomorrow.

Reference Florence, night one, and add a dose of beach to the mix, and you have yourself a perfect outfit.

The wedding fun kicks off today, and we’ll want you rested for the revelry. The day is open for you to do as you please – shuttles will leave in the afternoon from the various hotels to take you to the site of our beautiful wedding.

Our venue is the historic La Cervara, a 14th century abbey complete with gardens that are a crown jewel of northern Italy. Get ready to celebrate!

Capo Nord Beach Club

We bid arrivederci to each other and to a week of festivities at the famed beach club Capo Nord. Jump on the train with us to Milan, take a car back to your specific departure location, or just stay forever. A departure brunch is in order, complete with mimosas and, of course, bloody maries! Do your best to soak up the rays before you head back home – Capo Nord endorses swimming while eating - or wherever else your next adventure may take you.
